Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi of Japan has embarked on her inaugural official visit to India, touching down in New Delhi for a three-day stay. The visit is centered around participating in the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit, where she will engage in discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The summit aims to reinforce the strong bilateral relationship between the two nations.
At the heart of their talks will be a focus on collaboration across several critical areas such as trade, investment, defense, technology, and regional security. The leaders will also assess the progress made under the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership, an arrangement that underscores the importance of their bilateral cooperation.
Upon her arrival, Prime Minister Modi expressed his pleasure in hosting Takaichi, highlighting the significance of her first visit to India.
