As India’s political landscape reflects on the 25-year public service journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, efforts are underway to celebrate his contributions and engage the younger generation with his legacy. Launched as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan, two motorcycle rallies are traversing the country to mark this milestone in Modi’s career, which began when he assumed the office of Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001.
The campaign, initiated in Vadnagar—Modi’s birthplace—on his 76th birthday, features two parallel rallies. Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off a rally from Vadnagar to Varanasi, while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commenced the counterpart rally from Varanasi to Vadnagar. These events are designed to highlight Modi’s achievements and public service ethos as they journey through multiple states and villages, aiming to conclude on October 7.
With around 300 bikers participating in each rally, the initiative underscores the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) and the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) commitment to bringing Modi’s story to the forefront of public consciousness. Amit Shah emphasized the campaign’s role in educating the youth about Modi’s political path and the significance of his leadership in shaping contemporary India.
